Position Overview

The Principal position is the main administrative and educational position in the school. The Principal will oversee different facets of the school operation while working with a team of administrative staff, as well as, cooperating with the school’s Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the teachers and staff on a daily basis
• Interact with students and parents/guardians and address their needs and concerns
• Enforce the school policies, handbooks and procedures
• Submit periodic reports to the school Board and attend Board meetings on request.
• Consistently engage in activities that support the school’s mission

Qualifications:

• A master’s degree or equivalent or higher in any subject, preferably in educational leadership and administration.
• A teaching license is required or can obtain an NM teaching license in the first year of service. 
• A school administrator license is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a classroom teacher for K to 12^th grade is required. 
• A Ph.D. in a relevant field may count toward three years in teaching experience. 
• Must be able to pass background check

Ideal Candidate

An ideal candidate has the following:

• Master’s degree or higher in Education and educational leadership or administration. 
• Has experience working in an Islamic school. 
• Deep knowledge in Islamic faith and history.
• Proven institutional management skills.
• Passion to create global citizens and leaders in the community.
